Diversity, Endemism & Extinction in the New Caledonian Flora - A fascinating and well illustrated paper on the unique and important Gondwanan flora of this comparatively small island 750 miles east of Australia.  Smaller than Wales it has a flora of around 3,500 species of which 76.4% are endemic, i.e. they occur nowhere else!
